This year we sent two wines for professional tasting by Le Guide Hachette des Vins and we’re pleased to say both are included in the 2020 edition with star ratings for both wines.
The wines included are our dry white “Sauvignon 2018 Cent pour Cent” and “Marpeau 2017” rouge.
Both wines are certified Biologique (Organic), are AOC Sainte-Foy Côtes-de-Bordeaux, vegan and produced & bottled here at Château de Claribès.
Sainte-Foy has gained increasing recognition for excellent wines created by small, artisan producers with a passion for quality. As a result wines from twelve châteaux in the region are featured in the 2020 Guide. Sauvignon 2018 Cent pour Cent – Star rated
This vintage caught the attention with its bouquet of flowers (carnation, acacia) and citrus (grapefruit and lime). Fresh on the attack, tangy, then developing into something silkier, round and full, before stretching into a long fruity finish
Cette cuvée a retenu l’attention par son bouquet de fleurs (oeillet, acacia) et d’agrumes (pamplemousse et citron vert). Fraîche à l’attaque, acidulée, elle offre ensuite un développement plus soyeux et gras, avant de s’étirer dans une longue finale fruitée
Marpeau 2017 – Star rated
An honest and clean 2017, mixing red and black fruit on the nose, notes of undergrowth and truffle aromas. In the mouth, it is full and fleshy, ideally fresh and golden with a nice spicy finish and ripe tannins. A harmonious wine.
Un 2017 franc et net, mêlant au nez fruits rouge et noirs, notes de sous-bois et arômes truffés. En bouche, il se révèle plein et charnu, idéalement frais et doré d’une belle final épicée et de tanins mûrs. Un vin harmonieux.
