We’re proud to be part of the Côtes de Bordeaux where quality and innovation form the core of winemaking. Therefore, it’s particularly heartening when this is recognised.
In the October edition of Harpers Wine & Spirit an excellent article highlights why Côtes de Bordeaux producers are rapidly gaining a reputation as the epicentre of modern winemaking in Bordeaux.
Côtes de Bordeaux is spread across the right bank of Bordeaux. Created just 12 years ago in 2009 it is made up of five different sub-appellations. These are Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux, Francs Côtes de Bordeaux, Blaye Côtes de Bordeaux, Cadillac Côtes de Bordeaux and Sainte-Foy Côtes de Bordeaux. Sainte-Foy joined the group in 2016. Each appellation shares similarly hilly landscapes, hence the name ‘Côtes.’
Wines from Château de Claribès are made under the appellation Sainte-Foy Côtes de Bordeaux.
